COASTAL DENIM

CAPSULE COLLECTION

This was our first project in my Second year at University. We were working with the Welsh Denim brand HIUT Denim to create a capsule collection for them. I had spent all sumemr sampling and experimenting with denim and just playing around with what felt natural to me. I found myself being very inspired by Impressionist art, and how the techniques, tones and contrast can be applied to a typically tough fabric like denim

Living my whole life on the South coast of England (Living on the East and studying on the West), I found that it was naturally working its way into my work through the soft and heavily textured work with denim. So my collection for HIUT attempted to marry all of these ideas together in a very soft, tailored denim project.
